Our Story

Hi there!  I’m glad you visited our website!  I’m Nanette and I’m the founder of Windy Hill Farm Est. 1852.  Windy Hill was created in the spring of 2021 after a lot of research and hard work! I’ve slowly enlarged the gardens every year and I’m currently close to 1/2 acre of tilled beds.  My husband and I grow a large variety of flowers, foliage, and decorative items for fall.  In the spring, we have a vegetable and flower seedling sale around Mother’s Day. 

  The addition of a walk-in cooler in 2025 allows me to expand and sell to wholesale suppliers and local florists. 

 You can find our seasonal bouquets at my roadside stand, pop-up events, local coffee shops, and workshops and events at the farm.  Additionally, we have pick up locations at Kewanee, Toulon, and Princeville for custom bouquets.  

 I regularly donate flowers to local nursing homes, churches, and fundraisers.  Please contact me on the “get in touch” page if you have a need.
